A reference for trigger points and referral patterns for 108 muscles. Features 160 trigger points with their corresponding referral patterns, 80 conditions that can be caused by trigger points, and 25 videos that show how to release specific muscles. Each muscle includes the visual referral pattern and point location, plus a written muscle action, referral, origin, insertion, nerve, comments, and audio pronunciation for each muscle. You can choose to view each muscle individually, or use the zones view to see all the muscles that refer into a specific area (or for a specific condition). This is a great help in discovering the source of pain.

This app features all the scientifically proven trigger points and referral patterns as shown in the research.

Trigger points are tight places in a muscle that cause pain to be felt elsewhere in the body. This is great for massage therapists, physical therapists, chiropractors, or anyone wanting to discover the source of muscular pain, and learn about muscle function.

Pros and cons of Muscle Trigger Points app for iPhone and iPad

Muscle Trigger Points app good for

As an acupuncturist I found this app to be very useful to find and deactivate trigger points (aka ashi points).
Very intuitive, especially if youre into intensive weight training and need to know where the pain points are.
I use this app to communicate my pain to my massage therapist & also home treatment.
Here we go again! Its been a while since I really considered TPs as part of my diagnosis. This app is a great review!!
A great app to identify possible problem areas and an alternative possibly for pain relief. A great adjunct to medicine.
Helps understand where pains are generated!! One step closer!!

Some bad moments

Dont waste your money. All of the info in this app can be found for free and with much more detail all over the Internet. This app covers only a handful of the muscle groups. Info is scanty. One of those apps where you wish there was a refund process. Disappointing.
I have severe nerve and muscle conditions for which I am being treated at UCLA. I introduced this to my doctors a year ago and we use it regularly to discuss
Its not very in depth, doesnt have many upper back pain, shoulder, and arm details. You most likely have already read about these points on internet...
I like the trigger point app its informative, but right now its says to update, but it will not update 3 days now & it still wont update & I paid for the app...
